Sales and Pricing Policy

By placing a reservation, potential customers imply that they have read and understand the sales and pricing policy detailed on this page.

We reserve the right to retain any kid from any breeding. Our primary purpose with each pairing is to improve our own herd, in order to contribute to the progress of the breed itself.

Emailing or contacting us via Facebook Messenger will place a reservation for your choice of kid.  There is no charge to place a reservation on any of our unborn kids, and reservations are first-come, first-served. Once your kid has been born, we will contact those with reservations in the order they were received. Once contacted has been initiated by our farm, buyers should confirm that they want the kid, and a deposit of half the kid’s purchase price within is due within 48 hours. If no deposit has been received within 48 hours, the kid will be offered to the next person on the list or offered publicly regardless of confirmation that a buyer wants the reserved kid. Kids under deposit will need to be picked up (or transport arranged) when weaning is complete at 12 weeks. If not picked up or transport firmly arranged, a boarding charge of $5/day will be assessed and must be paid prior to the animal leaving our farm. All kids will be disbudded if naturally horned, up to date on CD&T vaccinations, given coccidia prevention at 3, 6, and 9 weeks of age, and tattooed prior to departing for their new homes. CVIs are available upon request and are the financial responsibility of the buyer. CVIs at the buyer’s expense are required for any animal leaving the state of Tennessee.

From time to time, we may offer mature breeding stock for sale so that we may continue to judge our progress. When purchasing an adult buck or doe, half the purchase price is due immediately with the remainder of the balance due at pickup. We assess the same fees and conditions on adults not picked up within two weeks of deposit.

If animals under deposit are not picked up within 30 days of the deposit being received, all funds paid to The Unfettered Acre LLC are forefitted, and the animal is again offered for sale. An animal is not considered sold until the full purchase price has been paid and the animal has left our farm. The buyer assumes all responsibility for arranging and paying for pickup/transport of the animal.

All intact bucks and does will be ADGA-registered at the time of pickup, and hard copy registration provided.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

We guarantee that all animals are healthy and thriving at the time of pickup. We cannot guarantee the ongoing health and productivity of an animal once it has left our care. Many aspects of an animals performance are heavily influenced by environmental conditions and management practices. Neither can we guarantee the mature height of an animal.

We cannot accept the return of a purchased animal due to biosecurity concerns.

The achievements of the dam, sire, and sire’s dam determine a kid’s price. We will offer a $50 discount per program to active participants in ADGA or AGS performance programs (up to $150 per animal for those participating in DHIR, LA/Classification, and showing). Prices on pairings will change in future years as the genetic merit of the parent stock is proven through performance programs. There may be specific pairings that deviate from the following guidelines.
