There is so much performance history in Sienna’s background. Her granddam led the Nigerian Dwarf breed for production and butterfat for many years. Also, we have to say that we really appreciate how the Chenango-Hills P V Zinnia dam line crosses with certain Old Mountain Farm bucks. Sienna came to our farm to help us both preserve and build upon that work – you’ll notice several similar crosses in our herd book. Sienna seems to have gotten many of the excellent qualities from both her sire and dam: Sayomis’s deep body capacity and smoothly upright stature and Zinnia’s gorgeous foreudder, dairy character, and bone structure. We are truly excited to have Sienna on test this year and continue the great record of Chenango-Hills I P Goddess’s dam line. We are considering the idea of taking Sienna in the show ring this spring – she has beautiful manners on a collar and is just a fine doe all around. We are grateful to Susan Shavelin of Lil’ Carolina Kids for entrusting Sienna to us.
