Satine is the kind of doe one would like to look out the window and see a pasture full of. She’s a slower-maturing girl, so was held over a bit to make sure she had grown enough to support an easier delivery. She is very smoothly blended from neck into withers, something we are seeking to improve in our herd, as well as strong in pasterns. Her rump is wide and correct while maintaining femininity. The only downside to Satine is that she wants your attention. All your attention, all the time. She doesn’t misbehave maliciously, per se, but tends to chatter at a person and want to know exactly what you’re doing. All the time. The only issue we have with this is that it makes walking on a show collar somewhat more difficult. However, Satine is graciously working with us on this so that she might reach her full potential – the well-rounded, correct and productive animal we have in mind for our herd.
